Hello Bobcat Families!
Happy Fall! I hope you all have had an amazing weekend. I love this time of year, when the leaves are changing, classrooms are buzzing, and our schedule is in full swing.

Here is a look at what’s ahead:

No School
Just a reminder we do not have school on Friday, 10/11 for state inservice.

Friendly Reminders
  • Just a reminder that each grade level has PE everyday. Please make sure that students are wearing appropriate shoes or have a back up pair in their backpacks.
  • Please remember that we only allow water at school. Please do not pack sodas in your child's lunch.
  • Students go outside for recess rain or shine. Please make sure they are dressing appropriately for the heat and rain.

Free Math Curriculum
We have older math curriculum available for the public to come and browse through. It will be in the front vestibule area and will be available for 30 days. Thank you!

Back to School Night
Back to School Night
Our back to school night is on 10/3 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Parents and students are invited to attend to meet with teachers on expectations in the classroom.

Doors Open: 5:30pm
First Teacher Presentation: 5:40pm
Second Teacher Presentation: 6:05pm
Evening ends: 6:30pm

Little Steps to Sucess
Your neighborhood elementary school is offering a program called “Little Steps to School Success” for you and your three, four, or five--year-old child (who is not yet enrolled in kindergarten). Your child will enjoy a special evening of stories and activities at the school. Each event is a special time for you and your preschooler only. You must accompany your preschooler, so there will be free childcare available for any siblings. These activities will take place in your child’s future kindergarten classroom and are led by teachers and staff from the school. The evening begins with a read-aloud by the kindergarten teacher, and is followed by fun activities to build skills your child will need for entering kindergarten. Your child will meet new friends who will be future classmates, meet his or her future kindergarten teacher, engage in skill-building activities that you can continue to do at home, and have fun. Each family that attends will receive a free book as well as a packet of activities to do together at home to reinforce skills.

Don’t miss out on this positive experience for your preschooler!

School Medication
State law addresses the dispensing of any form of medication by school personnel. Medication means any prescription or over-the-counter medication including but not limited to vitamins, food supplements, eye, ear and nose drops, inhalants, medicated ointments or lotions, aspirin, cough drops and antacids. For school personnel to administer any medication, the parent must provide a written request and the student’s physician must give written instructions if prescription (the prescription container on prescribed medication is sufficient).

All medications must be in the original container, with parent’s special instructions and physician’s instructions. All medications must be given to office staff by an adult for safekeeping. It is unlawful for students to transport medications of any kind. This includes medication such as cough drops, eye drops, nasal sprays, etc.

I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the Fall weather! Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you!
