Hello Bobcat Families!
I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Here is a look at what's coming up:

The Importance of Consistent Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for your child's success in school. When students attend every day, they are more likely to stay engaged with their learning, build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates, and achieve their academic goals. Even a few missed days can cause students to fall behind so we encourage you to make attendance a priority! If your child needs to miss school due to illness or another unavoidable reason, please notify us as soon as possible. Thank you for your support in helping every student succeed!

November and December Virtue
This month’s virtue is Respectful. Staff members are on the lookout for students who are being respectful to other students, classmates and staff members. We will announce our virtue winners before Winter Break!

Lost and Found
Lost and Found
We have lots of coats and jackets in our lost and found! Please come check for your students lost items next time you are at the school.

Parent Information Night
After extensive research, including input from school staff, parents, and community members, the Oregon Trail School District has a conceptual plan that addresses urgent facility needs and education adequacy at each of our schools.

Please join us to hear how our school campus could be specifically impacted.

Academic Reviews
Hello Bobcat Families!

Parent communication is a priority to me when it comes to your child and their growth both academically and behaviorally. Since we decided to move conferences to February, we wanted to find a way to communicate concerns with families prior to then.

Sandy Grade will be holding Academic Reviews for students not meeting or making adequate progress towards grade level standards and end of year expectations on November 20th, 2024.

Academic Reviews will be an opportunity to touch base with the classroom teacher regarding academic growth and achievement, in addition to behavior for students that are of particular concern. These reviews are being scheduled by the classroom teacher and are only for students / families we are particularly concerned with.

It is important for your child’s future that you and your child attend. It’s a great opportunity to meet, brainstorm and communicate with the teacher about what your child has accomplished and what progress needs to be made during the school year.

Teachers will be sending you a notice of the times they have available that day soon.
