Back to School Night

Back to School Night

Our back to school night is 9/25 from 5:30pm-6:30pm! Parents are invited to attend and meet with teachers on expectations in the classroom. The goal of this time is for parents to get a glimpse into the classroom and how to support at home. This evening is not set up for students as you will simply be hopping between classrooms to listen to a presentation from the teachers. It is an informative time and I hope you all can make it! If your students come, please be prepared that there are not activities for them to do during this time.

Doors Open: 5:30pm
First Teacher Presentation: 5:40pm
Second Teacher Presentation: 6:05pm
Evening ends: 6:30pm

We can't wait to see you!

Medication Reminder

State law addresses the dispensing of any form of medication by school personnel. Medication means any prescription or over-the-counter medication including but not limited to vitamins, food supplements, eye, ear and nose drops, inhalants, medicated ointments or lotions, aspirin, cough drops and antacids. For school personnel to administer any medication, the parent must provide a written request and the student’s physician must give written instructions if prescription (the prescription container on prescribed medication is sufficient).

All medications must be in the original container, with parent’s special instructions and physician’s instructions. All medications must be given to office staff by an adult for safekeeping. It is unlawful for students to transport medications of any kind. This includes medication such as cough drops, eye drops, nasal sprays, etc.

CHILD FIND-IDENTIFYING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

The Oregon Trail School District is seeking assistance in locating children with disabilities (birth through age 21) who have not graduated from high school and currently are not attending nor receiving other special services from public schools. Oregon and federal law mandate educational services for children with disabilities. Oregon Trail School District provides educational programs and services for eligible children from kindergarten through high school in the Oregon Trail School District and private school programs that are located in Oregon Trail School District boundaries. Services provided are appropriate to each child's disability. Clackamas Education Service District provides educational services for eligible children from birth to kindergarten. Parents, guardians, or anyone who knows of a child (age five through 21*) with a disability currently not receiving educational services are asked to notify the special education contact person in the child's resident school or contact the District Student Services Department at 503-668-4949. * For children younger than kindergarten, please telephone the CESD at 503-675-4181 or 503-675-4097.

I hope you have a great week, please let me know if you have any questions!
